January Card Class

These are the cards we are making for this weekend's card class.  There's a Valentine for you hubby, a birthday card made from the Butterfly Basics (Occasions catalog) and a birthday card from (SAB catalog).

Weekend Card Class

Since the weather looks ok for Friday and Saturday, I'm offering a last minute card class. 

Do three quick and easy cards for $10. You'll make a valentine, and two birthday cards.  I'll prepare all the materials. You don't have to bring any supplies. 

Class times are: Friday 1:00 pm, Friday 6:30 pm, or Saturday 9:00 am. Please RSVP to me by Thursday night.

TSOT 202

We've got lots of family birthdays in January.  Today's card inspiration comes from Try Stamping on Tuesday sketch challenge TSOT202.  I flipped the sketch around for this card and use a paper strip instead of ribbon for mailability.

I really like pairing the carbs, schmarbs! greeting from Yippee-Skippee! with the Big Day SAB stamp set.  Happy Birthday to my sister, Robin!

Mojo 381

My niece, McKenzie, just had a baby girl this week.  Her birthday is this weekend and I wanted her to be remembered too.  So I started off with the sketch challenge for Mojo Monday (Mojo 381).

I wanted to use the Big Day Sale-A-Bration set to create this card.  Then I paired it with the sentiment from Yippee Skippee!  She likes the color green; so I pulled out some dsp that I had leftover from last year's SAB.  I used the Summer Starfruit color to bring your eyes straight to the focal point.  Added some birthday bling and voila!

Welcome Baby Oaklynn!

Yesterday my niece, McKenzie, gave birth to her first baby.  Welcome, Oaklynn!  Since, my craft room is still boxed up, I had to rummage thru a few boxes to create this CASE from Steph Perry.  It's such a sweet girlie card.

As you know, my craft/office is packed up until my flooring is replaced (hopefully soon).  So today's card is made with limited supplies.  I really wanted to try out the Butterfly Basics and matching thinlits; so I made this vintage-themed card for Tammy.  Of course I had to decorate just a little on the inside.

Overflow Room

On Christmas Eve, I walked into my craft/office room to find the carpet bubbling up with water.  My daughter was in the adjoining bathroom taking a shower.  Nice, a plumbing problem!  That Friday morning the plumber's apprentice came out and confirmed the problem was coming from the shower,but he wasn't able to fix it.  The head plumber came out on Tuesday fixed the problem and told me to call in this the water remediation people.  Since last week until this morning, I've had two humidifiers and four fans running nonstop.  My house sounded like a jet airplane 24/7.

The fun part has been emptying the room of all my crafts!  Not an easy task.  Posts will be sporatic since I don't have easy access to my craft supplies.  My desk is in pieces and vendors have/will be coming to fix the flooring.
