TSOT 354

I needed another western themed birthday card this week for one of my nieces.  I chose to use this week's Try Stampin on Tuesday's sketch challenge-354.  There was the optional theme for metallic which I used to my metallic star accessories.  The dsp is from BoBunny Prairie Chic.  Yes, I'm a dsp hoarder!  One of my resolutions this year was to use more of my dsp stash.

I like to dress up the inside of my cards and I also stamped the cowboy hat from the Out West set on the envelope.  The whole ensemble looks very western.  I'm sure my cowgirl niece will love her birthday card.

Here's the sketch:

This is my card:

Stamp Set: Sincere Salutations, Out West
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede Wild Wasabi and Prairie Chic dsp (BoBunny)
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Big Shot, magnetic platform, Stitched Circle framelits, metallic enamel shapes, dimensionals, sponge

Fab Fri 129

On to another sketch challenge, Fab Friday-129.  Once again, we could change the shape of the focal image.  I needed a birthday card for a great nephew this coming week.  He lives on a ranch so this stamp set is perfect for him.  I tried to use a lot of the stamps from the set on the outside and inside of the card.  I decided to dive into my stash of designer series paper to dress things up a bit.

Here's the sketch:

FMS 320

This week's sketch challenge from Freshly made sketches-320 is another birthday card for a cute young lady that is turning ten next week.  We could change up the focal image from hearts to any shape we wanted; I picked butterflies.  There are lots of butterflies for this card, the focal image has two die cut butterflies and the background of Soft Sky cardstock was running through the Big Shot with the Butterflies TIEF.  The only stamping I did was the sentiment.

Here's the sketch:
Here's my version:

Stamp set: Itty Bitty Banners
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Soft Sky, dsp from My Mind's Eye Collectable "Memorable"
Ink: Soft Sky
Accessories: Big Shot, magnetic platform, Butterflies thinlits, Butterflies TIEF, dimensionals

Get Well, Kathy Glenn

My friend and former co-worker at Farmers, Kathy Glenn is in the hospital.  Another member of our group, Vicky Benson, informed us that she could use some cheering up, but wasn't receiving visitors.  I thought one of my handmade cards would do the trick.  No embellishments on this one as I needed to keep it flat for mailing.

Stamp Sets: Painted Harvest, Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Confetti Cream, Crushed Curry
Ink: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Garden Green

FMS 319

Today's card comes from another sketch challenge, Freshly Made Sketches #319.  This sketch has a panel that's perfect for showcasing designer paper; so I used a piece from graphic 45 that I got from a friend a while back.  The little strip for the greeting seemed to be the right size for a stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Now I've got another birthday card ready to use.

Here's the sketch:
Here's my card:

Cardstock: Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, Once Upon a Springtime (Graphic 45)

Prairie Chic

I got some BoBunny Prairie Chic items a while back and decided that a rainy Saturday was a good time to make some cards using these items.  I used some cardstock from Stampin' Up! for the main part of the cards.

This is what I started with:

These are the cards I made:

Stamp Set: Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Pink  Pirouette, Sahara Sand, Whisper White,Wild Wasabi
Ink: Memento Black Tuxedo
Accessory: Decorative Label punch

I really like the Sincere Salutations stamp set from Stampin' Up!  It's retired, but I like all the different greetings it has.

Wisteria Blooms Birthday

My mother-in-law's birthday is later this week.  She loves flowers and the color purple; so she will enjoy this card.  I used an old hostess set, Bloom with Love and used different shades of purple.  For the focal image I used the layering oval framelits.  The scalloped oval gives the white oval a nice contrast with a pop of color.

Stamp Set: Bloom with Love
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, and Wood Textures dsp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pear Pizzazz marker, and Wisteria Wonder marker
Accessories: Big Shot, magnetic platform, layering oval framelits and dimensionals

Happy New Year 2018

It's been a while since I've posted on my stamping blog.  One of my resolutions is to get active again.  Today's card is a celebration of the new year.  I used silver embossing powder with the July Fourth set to create the fireworks and the Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment.  This set has just about every greeting you'll ever need.  It's a quick card that's easy to mail.

Stamp Set: July Fourth, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Silver Foil, and Whisper White
Ink:  Night of Navy and VersaMark
