Polar Vortex
Here in the Chicago area, there's a Polar Vortex. Don't know what it means other than REAL COLD!!! Megan Glaros, the weather lady for Channel 2, says Barrow, AK is -5, an base in Antarctica is -9 and we are -17 Expecting wind chills between -40 and -50 today. Since when are we colder than the Arctic Circle and the South Pole?! This is what happens whenever we move -- coldest, most bitter temps in 20 years. All schools are closed as are some businesses. NW Indiana has closed the interstate to Chicago. To give you an idea of what we are dealing with today and tomorrow, check out these area photos:
