Happy New Year 2024

It's been a while since I've posted.  I'm pleased to say that I'm retired from corporate life.  I'm getting to enjoy my family and retirement.  I finally learned how to add a watermark to my cards using Canva.

Today's card is a celebration of 2024!  It's a simple and easy to make and mail card.  You know the USPS likes flatter cards for mailing.  I personally love to add bling, but the Post Office hates bulky envelopes.

One of my favorite techniques is heat embossing.  It adds a major WOW factor to any card.  The silver embossing powder pops against the Starry Sky cardstock.  I used the Light The Sky stamp set that is retiring today. Bobbi's Bridal Shower

Today I'm going to a bridal shower for my nephew's fiance', Bobbi.  Once again, the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set comes to the rescue.  Seriously, one of my favorite stamp sets because it has every sentiment I need!  I used the banner stamp from Bloomin' Love to showcase my sentiment (doesn't it fix perfectly).  The heart from the Bloomin' Heart thinlits can be used to weddings too (not just for Valentines).  From from dsp stash, I pulled out the silver fancy foil designer vellum.  Since you can see through the vellum, I put small glue dots behind the silver hearts to adhere it to my cardstock.  Voila', a beautiful shower card for a sweet young woman.  Welcome to the family!

Valentine mini treat bags

One of the projects for my Valentine class where these mini treat bags filled with heart shaped strawberry cakes from Little Debbie.  These little treat bags are quick and easy to make.

Pierce Gets Baptized

One of my great nephews, Pierce, turned 8 this week and was baptized today.  Sunbeam Stamps is a company that sells LDS themed stamps; so I used this one about Scriptures.  I dipped into my paper stash and found some scraps of Baja Breeze to use.  It's a simple card since an 8 year old boy isn't into fancy cards yet.
