New Hybrid Basic Black Ink Pad

 

Stampin' Up! is releasing a new Basic Black Hybrid Stampin’ Pad (166648) and the Basic Black Hybrid Ink Refill (166649)* with the May–August 2026 Catalog. We’re very excited about the creative potential this ink offers, including the ability to work with various coloring techniques. In fact, it’s called “hybrid” because it has similar characteristics to StāzOn and Memento—you can use this single pad for watercolor techniques AND techniques featuring Stampin’ Blends!

 
The new hybrid ink will be a coloring go-to. You’ll no longer have to remember which ink to use for which technique, simplifying the experience for you. 
 
HELPFUL HYBRID POINTERS
Here are a few pro tips to keep in mind as you begin using your new Basic Black Hybrid Ink:

1. Like StāzOn, the Basic Black Hybrid Stampin’ Pad is airtight to prevent evaporation. If you experience suction opening the pad, put your fingernails under the lip of the lid and pull it open at an angle.
2. Use Stampin’ Mist (153648) and the Simply Shammy (147042) to clean your stamps. It’s worth noting that the hybrid ink will stain your stamps, but the stained color left on clean stamps won’t transfer to other ink pads.
3. For best results, allow stamped hybrid ink to dry before applying any additional color mediums or water. 
4. Hybrid ink will not stamp on Window Sheets or other non-porous surfaces.

 
STĀZON & MEMENTO INK

It has become harder to source StāzOn and Memento ink. The timing of the Hybrid ink is fortunate, as it’s releasing right as we’re forced to discontinue the following products once existing inventory is gone:

WHAT’S NEXT?
Here are a few things to note as we enter this ink transition: 

• All discontinued items listed above will be available while supplies last. If we sell out of items ahead of them being moved to the Last Chance Products list, they will be labeled unavailable and be removed from our online store. (See the March 10 Weekly Updates for more specifics about this retiring process for all discontinued products.)
• As outlined in our Internet/Website Policy, once an item has been discontinued, you’re welcome to sell it on third-party sites such as eBay.
• * The Basic Black Hybrid Ink Refill (166649) will not be available for several months and will not be listed in the Online Store when the catalog releases to customers. Due to the expected length of delay, we’ll post a Weekly Update when the item is available for purchase.

Big News! A Simpler Catalog Experience—Now Three Times a Year

Starting in May, Stampin’ Up! is refreshing the way we share products in print, with a new, streamlined catalog strategy designed to make shopping from our catalogs easier and more intuitive. Instead of an annual catalog and multiple minis, we are moving to three beautifully designed catalogs per year—each one complete, current, and easy to use on its own. No more overlapping catalogs! 

Each catalog will introduce new products alongside a selection of customer-favorite staples—such as stamps, ink, paper, tools, and adhesives—bringing the feel of a mini catalog and an annual catalog together in one place. This balanced approach creates a well-rounded, easy-to-shop print experience that supports confident ordering, all within a catalog released every four months: 

• January–April 
  
• May–August 
  
• September–December 
  

These seasonal catalogs are designed to put products front and center, making it easy for customers to browse, discover, and shop by product category. They also highlight the different ways people enjoy crafting, with products and project ideas organized around three crafting experiences—Step-by-Step, Quick & Easy, and Creativity Your Way—so customers can quickly find what fits their needs, time, and creative style.

By eliminating the annual product catalog and moving to this new format (which includes designated sections devoted to product categories), our goal is to make sharing and shopping simple and fun!

The Standing Clipboard Trio Kit includes three clipboards you can use to showcase creations from the coordinating Radiant Reminders and Every Little Thing Kits (sold separately).
