Polar Vortex

Here in the Chicago area, there's a Polar Vortex.  Don't know what it means other than REAL COLD!!!  Megan Glaros, the weather lady for Channel 2, says Barrow, AK is -5, an base in Antarctica is -9 and we are -17  Expecting wind chills between -40 and -50 today.  Since when are we colder than the Arctic Circle and the South Pole?!  This is what happens whenever we move -- coldest, most bitter temps in 20 years.  All schools are closed as are some businesses.  NW Indiana has closed the interstate to Chicago.  To give you an idea of what we are dealing with today and tomorrow, check out these area photos:

Simple Thank You

Today's card is going to be mailed to Taiwan.  It was made to fit an already addressed envelope (I can't write in Chinese).  Finished card size is 3-1/2" x 6-1/4".  It's very simple so it won't weigh a lot for postage.

Snowy Day

We haven't been getting out of the house much this week.  It's been snowing continuously for two days and nights.  According to the weatherman, we got 18" of snow.  Somewhere under all this snow are two newspapers!

Accessories: Big Shot, Circles Collection Framelits, 1-1/4" circle punch, 1-3/8" circle punch, and photo corners punch.

I had to make the card flat for mailing purposes.  It will be a birthday card for one of our January birthdays this month.
